Set log level from 'debug' to 'info'. This was the only difference to other (test) log.xml. This magic such cure the problem that on jenkins no log appear for the tests. Instead the following shows up:
log4j:ERROR Could not parse file [etc/log.xml].
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 2 >= 1
