Root less installation
Hoi there,
for several years now, it has been best practice not to allow root login to devices via ssh. The previous Anisble playbooks, however, specifically required a root login via ssh. With a small change in the playbook, a root-less installation would be possible.
This would require deleting the remote_user line in install_datapool.yml
.
The installation would then work with this Ansible call:
ansible-playbook -i server.ch, install_datapool.yml --become --ask-become-pass --user=USER --private-key="~/.ssh/USER_KEY"
Should I make this change and follow the docs?
Best,
Ingo
